ORDER TERMS + CONDITIONS
By placing an order you are accepting the terms + conditions in their entirety below.
Firstly, we want to say how excited we are to feed you + your loved ones! If you’re reading this packet it is because you are about to or have placed your first order with us! Below we have included some important information about our services + liabilities + terms. Every order placed is in agreement with each term below, which is also stated on your invoice + online ordering terms + conditions.
Farm-to-Fete
Our Farm-to-fete service is a simple + delicious way to feed friends + family at home without lifting a finger. These meals are comprised of locally sourced + organic produce, simply prepared and delivered on wooden boards, ready-to-eat (we event have some oven-ready options!)! Please read below our sourcing practices. Each of these Farm-to-fete dishes are designed to be eaten at room temperature, no re-heating is necessary!
Ordering Guideline:
Many of our items come in multiple portion sizes. You know your guests the best! When we say it feeds 12, it feeds 12 plus a little left over. These estimates are designed to help you piece together a meal but you can mix and match sizes. For example: When ordering mains, a “feeds 12” means 2-3 pieces per person (or a hearty portion size, 4ozs of protein), if you order two mains for those same 12 guests, you will then have twice as much food but able to offer a variety. So…. Ordering 1 large + 1 small can offer variety without having too much left over for 12 guests. If you order 2 smalls, then, In theory, the first 6 people who go make a plate could essentially take all of one of the mains which is why we recommend ordering 1 large of a “crowd-pleaser”… does that make sense? If not call us and we will happily help you piece it together! All our menu items can be doubled, tripled, quad we have fed up to 500 guests at a time with our Farm-to-Fete, we even do most of our weddings in this style!
Sustainability/Order Deadlines:
The Hamptons Aristocrat is a sustainable company and unlike your traditional restaurant, we do not keep excess produce or meats in stock. Our order deadlines are firm and listed below. Orders placed after the order deadline may not be fulfilled and/or will be subject to a possible late fee.

Ordering + Deadlines:
Orders must be received 36 hours in advance (some menu items required more notice as indicated). To guarantee service, we recommend that you place your order + pay for it by Thursday at 10 am. After Thursday at 10am, all orders are First Come First Serve. Weekend Ordering will close on Fridays at 10am when we place our final orders with our local farms!
Cancellation:
Orders may not be cancelled within 72 hours of your scheduled delivery time + date. Orders cancelled with at least 72 hours notice will receive a credit towards a future order. Orders cancelled within the 72 hour window will not receive a credit. Hamptons Aristocrat is a sustainable food company, cancelled orders force waste.
Please double check your requested date + Day of the week, clients are responsible for the providing the correct date + day of their delivery. Incorrect dates + mistakes are the responsibility of the client. Each invoice + estimate will clearly state the date + day of the week for confirmation. Orders cannot be rescheduled or resent if there is a mistake on the dated invoice that is paid. If you realize that you put the wrong date in a request or realized it is incorrect on the invoice, please let us know asap, we will always do our best to reschedule but if it’s within 24 hours of your delivery than we will need to stick to the original date + time requested, no refunds will be granted + rescheduling the delivery is not an option within the 24-hour period. The only option would be to pay the re-plating fee of 50% if you choose to move your order to another future day within that 24-hours period. We will not always be able to accommodate an expedited order, meaning if you ordered it for tomorrow + you want it today, we will not be able to accommodate as all our items are made from scratch + we do sell out most days. So in a nutshell: double check yours dates, it happens a lot (and I mean a lot!) so please be clear that it is your responsibility to make sure the invoices + confirmations reflect your expected date and coordinating day of the week.
Seasonality:
We work very closely with our local organic farms (Amber Waves Farm + The Organic Green Thumb + Browder’s Birds + good water farms + more)! Sometimes things don’t go as planned + crops get destroyed, so in that very rare case we may make substitutions on your produce in and around our Farm-to-fete menu items. If a primary ingredient is unavailable we will reach out for an alternate selection. Additionally, some of our menu items will be seasonal for a short period of time locally but we want to keep some of our favorites on the menu, so if ordered out of season, we will sometimes source from the Hudson valley or another sustainable + organic farm in the US.
Delivery:
We all get that Hampton’s traffic can be a nightmare! So we ask that you please provide us with a one-hour delivery window for your foods. On some occasions we may even be a little early! Storage of your menu items should be in the refrigerator if you do not plan on eating the items immediately, please refer to your wooden board tags for refrigeration / tempering instructions. The general rule would be to remove items 30 minutes prior to eating to bring them back down to room temperature + then to eat immediately. In the very rare scenario that something out of our control has us anticipating a late delivery, we will let you know via text immediately the anticipated delivery time (this is very rare and would be caused by something out of our control like traffic or street closures.
Upon delivery:
All menu items will be delivered cold in our coolers or refrigeration van. All Food should be stored in the refrigerator until 30 minutes prior to consumption. To temper items to room temperature please pull the wooden boards out of the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to food service. Leave the lid on until you are ready to serve. food that has been sitting out for more than 2.5 hours should be discarded. Our food is made to order + as long as it is stored properly in the refrigerator food items can be eaten for up to 72 hours after delivery. We do, however, recommend that the farm-to-fete hors d’oeuvres be eaten the same day (mostly for the bread!). We will happily arrange more than one delivery for you, just let us know what works best!
Sell Out:
We hate to say no, and we rarely do… but we do reserve the right to sell out of certain menu items or our services all together for a particular weekend due to other events + orders. The Hamptons Aristocrat also reserves the right to discontinue working with a client for any reason including but not limited to: continued late orders, late payments, employee treatment, rudeness + more. Life’s too short to be mean J
Organic Foods + Meats
We are so excited to expose you to your local organic farms + meats! If eating organic is not a primary lifestyle choice for you and your family, below are some things you may notice about organic produce + meats!
Organic Chicken: will likely have a blush coloring even when fully cooked. In fact, according to the Organic Authority, organic poultry coloring is not considered an indicator of doneness and is not a recommended way to determine the doneness of chickens or poultry. Simply, organic chickens have more hemoglobin in their bodies due to their natural diet, daily sunshine + overall free-range, hormone-free life + general better health + happiness causing that blush tone even when cooked properly. Please note that we cook all our poultry to a temperature of 165 degrees + can guarantee that it is full cooked. All of our chickens live a happy free-range life outdoors at Browder’s Birds Organic chicken farm in Mattituck. Additionally, we do brine our chickens in organic buttermilk so we can also guarantee that it will be tender + delicious!
Grass Fed Meats: may contain less overall total fat (less marbling + a darker color) but will provide you with a lot more Omega-3 fatty acids + CLA. We’ll spare you any real lecture here on why we choose to only serve grass-fed beef that is sourced directly from North East Cattle farms + the Hudson Valley + Rustic Roots delivery. CNN has a great article titled: the grass fed vs. grain fed beef debate, happy reading!
Pork + Pork Products: we source our pork from either Tom Hart at Deep Roots Farms on the North Fork or an Amish Farm in Connecticut. All of the pigs + pig products we source are from sustainable local farms where they are pasture raised on a 100% vegetarian diet of apples + carrots + more! We source our cured beef + pork products from Brooklyn Cured, which is a small batch butcher, who focuses on sustainability + pasture raised meats. Brooklyn Cured also does not use any nitrates or preservatives causing some of their products to have an alerted coloring or flavor different from what you might be used to!
Organic Practices vs Certified Organic: we source 99% of our produce from both farms who follow organic practices but have not yet been certified, and from certified organic farms.
Kosher: Unfortunately, this season we are unable to source kosher meats. All of our equipment has at some point been in contact with non-kosher meats + ingredients.
Allergies: per the suffolk county health department it is the legal responsibility of the client to disclose any allergies + sensitivities upon ordering. Hamptons aristocrat will do everything we can to avoid any contamination. That said, Hamptons aristocrat is not liable for any allergy related incidents or deaths. We work with wheat, soy + peanuts in our facility. Cross-contamination is preventable but not guaranteed.
Payments:
Orders are not even processed or placed in the cue until payment is made. If payment is not received the order is subject to being cancelled.
Food Disclaimer: consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of food bourne illness. All items should be kept refrigerated until 30 minutes prior to eating. The Suffolk County Health Department requires that you let us know of any allergies.
Health Department: The Hamptons Aristocrat is permitted by the Suffolk County Health Department.
Staffing:
We will happily provide you with staffing attendants to help your event go smoothly!! Staffing is the first to sell out + is not guaranteed. If your assigned server calls out, we will do everything we can to secure a replacement, this may be impossible with short notice. In order for us to be able to guarantee you the caliber of servers + bartenders that can execute a top restaurant quality experience at your home, each member of the Hamptons Aristocrat Team has signed a 2-year non-disclosure + non-compete agreement with the Hamptons Aristocrat. Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE that you love our staff enough to want them full time but our chefs + servers + bartenders will be violating their employment terms if they accept gigs “off the clock.” To avoid any awkwardness, by signing the terms + conditions, you are also agreeing not to approach our staff about future non-Hamptons Aristocrat events + work opportunities and/or fulltime private chef gigs at your home. If our staff members are approached by a client they are required to disclose this information to HA, at which point you, the client, have violated the client agreement and will be terminated as a client. Staff is scheduled for 4 hours flat, staff has been instructed to leave at the completion of the 4th hour.

It is your responsibility to communicate to the staff on what you would like them to do during the event, share with them your menu + your preferences of event timelines + set up. Staff will not come prepared with the menus or bar requests, they will show up fresh + ready to work based off your direction. You can choose to hire a manager for $500 if you would like someone to direct the staffing for you.
Staffing is yours for 4 hours only, overtime is not available. Staff will leave promptly at the end of the 4th hour whether the event has wrapped up or not.
Legalities:
The Hamptons Aristocrat will not be liable for any loss or damages to the hosts’ home, rented home, contracted venue, third party venue and/or their guests’ property prior to, during or following an event or delivery.
